The “Save contact” and “Exchange contact” buttons

“Save contact” adds your details to the visitor’s phone. “Exchange contact” lets them send you theirs, which appear under Contacts.

Your public profile can show two buttons that make swapping details easy. Both are switched on by default and included in every plan.

Save contact

Save contact downloads your details as a contact card. The visitor’s phone then offers to add you to their contacts (on some phones they open the downloaded file first). It includes:

  • your name, company and job title
  • the phone numbers, email addresses, address and web links in your visible contact details
  • a link to your Card2Tap profile
  • the start of your description (up to 300 characters) and your profile photo

Exchange contact

Exchange contact opens a short form, “Share your details with” followed by your name. The visitor enters their name and an email address or phone number, and can add their company, job title and a message. They must tick the permission box, then select Send my details.

What they send appears in your dashboard under Contacts, and you get an email. Sharing details is not consent to marketing: people join your email or SMS campaigns only through separate sign-up boxes. See Email and SMS campaigns.

Switch the buttons on or off

In Advanced settings, under “Visitor features”, use “Save-contact button” and “Contact exchange”, then save your settings.

Both buttons work only on a published profile. If your plan ends, the exchange form is hidden until you renew.
