01 Agreement to these Terms
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) are an agreement between Card2Tap INC. and you. “Card2Tap”, “Card2Tap INC.”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Card2Tap INC., the business operating card2tap.com. Our business address is 190 Don Park Rd, Unit #16, Markham, Ontario L3R 2V8, Canada.
These Terms apply when you create a Card2Tap account, buy a plan or product, create or publish a digital profile, or use Card2Tap’s business and Team features. By doing any of these, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use those services. Browsing card2tap.com or viewing someone’s Card2Tap profile does not create a paid-service agreement; the website’s general rules (such as acceptable use) still apply.
These Terms work together with our Privacy Policy (which explains how we handle personal information, including Cookies and analytics), our Shipping Time Options page and our Turnaround Options page. The details shown at checkout — products, personalization, prices, taxes, shipping and totals — form part of each order.
Nothing in these Terms limits any right or remedy you have under consumer-protection law that cannot be excluded or waived by agreement. Where applicable law gives you greater or mandatory rights, those rights apply instead of any conflicting wording here.
02 Eligibility
You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to create a paid Card2Tap account, purchase products or services, or accept these Terms.
If you use Card2Tap on behalf of a business or organization — for example as a Team Owner or Admin — you confirm that you have authority to act on its behalf, and these Terms bind that organization where the law allows.
Where a user has not reached the age of majority or otherwise lacks legal capacity to contract, a parent, legal guardian or other legally authorized person must enter into the agreement for them, where permitted by law.
03 Your account
You agree to give accurate information, keep your email address current, keep your password secure and not share it, and tell us promptly if you believe someone has used your account without permission. You are responsible for activity under your account unless it results from our failure to protect it.
Card2Tap will never ask for your password, full payment card number or other security credentials — not by email, phone or support message.
An individual account belongs to the person who registered it, subject to these Terms. A Team profile may be managed by the Team’s Owner and Admins under the Team’s roles and permissions (see Teams).
To close your account, contact us — see the Privacy Policy for how account deletion works and what we must keep.
04 Plans and subscriptions
Plans. Card2Tap offers digital plans with different features: Standard, Professional, Premium. Each plan’s features and current price are shown on the Plans page and at checkout; that information controls if it differs from anything said here. Apple Wallet and Google Wallet passes are included on every plan; Link Finder and appointment requests on Professional and Premium; AI features on Premium.
Term. A plan lasts 12 months. It starts when your payment is confirmed and Card2Tap activates it. If you buy the same plan again before your current one ends, the new term starts when the current one ends. A different plan starts right away and runs alongside the one you already have.
Renewal. Plans do not renew automatically. To keep a plan, buy it again at the price shown at that time. We remind you by email before your plan ends.
Plans included with products. Qualifying physical products include a plan for the period shown on the product page. You may choose a higher plan for the order instead; the upgrade is charged once per order, as a separate line, at that plan’s price.
Upgrades. To upgrade during a term, buy the higher plan: it starts at payment, lasts 12 months and includes everything in the lower plans. Its price is not prorated, and your previous plan runs until its own end date. To move to a smaller plan, let your current plan end and buy the other one.
When a plan ends. Features that are no longer included stop working. Nothing you created is deleted: your public profile stays online and your cards keep opening it, and the features return when you renew. While you have no active plan you cannot open your dashboard; contact us if you need your profile unpublished or a card switched off.
Cancelling a plan. You can cancel a plan bought in an order from your account (My Account → Subscription & plans). You keep access until its end date and stop receiving renewal reminders. Cancelling does not refund the time already paid for — see Refunds, returns and final sale.
05 Prices, payments and taxes
Prices are in CAD and, unless stated otherwise, before applicable taxes. Shipping and, for international orders, import charges may be added. The amount shown at checkout before you pay is the amount you agree to.
Applicable taxes are calculated at checkout. They depend on your location, the shipping or billing address and the type of product or service, as required by law.
Payments are processed by our payment provider. Card2Tap receives the payment status and transaction references and may receive limited card details (such as the card type and last four digits); we never receive or store your full card number.
An order is processed — a plan activated or a product produced — only after the payment is confirmed. If a payment fails, nothing is activated or produced. If a payment is later reversed or refunded, the plan or access it paid for may be withdrawn.
06 Payment disputes and chargebacks
If you believe a payment was unauthorized, duplicated or incorrectly processed, or is linked to an unresolved order issue, please contact us first so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve it.
A chargeback or payment dispute should not be used to avoid a valid payment obligation or to obtain both the purchased goods or services and a refund.
If a chargeback is initiated, Card2Tap may provide the payment processor, card network or financial institution with the transaction records reasonably necessary to respond to the dispute — such as order information, proof approvals, delivery and tracking information, account records and our communications with you — in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
If a payment for a valid outstanding balance is reversed, Card2Tap may suspend the related paid services or fulfillment until the dispute is resolved, where legally permitted. We will not retaliate against you for exercising a lawful payment-dispute right.
07 Physical products
Card2Tap’s physical products are NFC products personalized with your design. Products that can be ordered today:
- PVC NFC Card — production 2–4 business days after proof approval and payment
- Metal NFC Card
- Wooden NFC Card — production 2–4 business days after proof approval and payment
- Stand NFC — production 2–4 business days after proof approval and payment
- PVC NFC Name Tags
- NFC Label Sticker
A product marked “Not available to order yet” cannot be ordered, and product options may change or be discontinued. NFC Label Stickers are sold in multiples of 50. Team card orders are limited to 50 cards per order line; larger quantities are a custom order — contact us.
We describe products and their specifications as accurately as we can. The designer preview is an illustration, not a photograph. Colours displayed on monitors, phones and digital proofs may vary from printed output because of differences in screens, colour profiles, materials and printing processes. Reasonable production variation that does not amount to a defect is not grounds for rejection; substantial colour or production mistakes are handled under Product quality. Natural materials such as wood vary in grain and colour, so no two wooden products look exactly alike.
08 Your artwork, proofs and production
Your artwork. When you upload a logo or enter text, you confirm that you have the right to use it. You keep ownership of it. You give Card2Tap a limited licence to use it only to prepare proofs, produce your order and provide the related services.
We may refuse artwork or text that is unlawful, infringes someone else’s rights, contains malicious content, would expose Card2Tap to legal liability, or cannot be produced safely or technically. We will tell you why.
Proof approval. Personalized products are designed in our online designer, which creates a proof for you to review. You are responsible for reviewing every proof carefully before approval, including names, spelling, phone numbers, email addresses, URLs, QR codes, colours, layout, positioning and other personalization details. To order, you approve the proof by confirming: “I have checked this proof — spelling, layout and logo — and approve it for production exactly as shown.” Any change after approval needs a new proof and a new approval.
After approval. Once you approve a proof and your payment is confirmed, Card2Tap may proceed with production. Card2Tap is generally not responsible for errors you supplied or errors that were clearly visible in a proof you approved, except where we produce the product differently from the approved proof or where applicable law requires another remedy. If you notice a mistake after ordering, contact us right away with your order number.
Production time is shown for each product and on our Turnaround Options page as a range of business days. It is an estimate, not a guaranteed delivery date, and starts once the proof is approved and payment is confirmed. Card2Tap does not offer paid rush production; if you need an order by a certain date, contact us before you order and we will tell you whether it is possible.
09 Order cancellations
If you want to cancel a physical-product order, contact us as quickly as possible with your order number.
If we receive your cancellation request within 8 hours after the order is placed, and Card2Tap has not begun production, customization, artwork preparation, purchasing of special materials or other non-recoverable work, we will normally cancel the order without the cancellation fee.
If we receive your request more than 8 hours after the order is placed, but cancellation is still operationally possible, Card2Tap may charge a cancellation fee of $50.00 CAD to cover administrative, processing and production-preparation costs.
Once customization, production of approved artwork, printing, engraving, programming or manufacturing has begun, the order may no longer be cancellable.
Plans are covered in Refunds, returns and final sale. These terms do not limit cancellation rights provided by applicable law.
10 Shipping and pickup
We ship to Canada, United States, Europe, United Arab Emirates. Available services and prices are shown at checkout once you enter your address; destinations not offered cannot be selected. Orders heavier than our online shipping prices cover need a custom shipping quote before they can be placed. See Shipping Time Options.
Production and transit are separate. Transit times shown at checkout are carrier estimates that start after production. They are not guaranteed delivery dates.
Please give a complete and accurate shipping address. Card2Tap is not responsible for loss caused by an incorrect or incomplete address you supplied, refusal of delivery, failure to collect the shipment or other circumstances caused by the recipient, subject to applicable law. If an order comes back for one of these reasons, re-shipping may cost extra.
Delivery can be delayed by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, carrier disruption or customs processing. We will help you follow up with the carrier. This does not reduce any delivery rights you have under consumer-protection law.
Local Pickup. Local Pickup is not offered at the moment.
11 Lost or damaged shipments
Lost shipments. If tracking shows that a shipment may have been lost in transit, Card2Tap will open an investigation with the courier or shipping provider. We may need the carrier to complete its investigation before a replacement or refund is issued; we pursue it within a reasonable time, and it does not remove remedies the law gives you. If the carrier confirms that a shipment was lost while in its custody, Card2Tap will normally send a replacement at no additional standard shipping charge, subject to product availability. If a replacement is not reasonably possible, we may issue an appropriate refund or other remedy.
Shipping damage. If a package arrives visibly damaged, photograph the outer packaging and the affected products and contact us within 7 calendar days. We may ask you to keep the packaging and damaged products during the carrier investigation. If the damage is confirmed to have occurred in transit, Card2Tap will work with the carrier and provide the appropriate remedy.
12 Reporting product issues
Please inspect physical products promptly when you receive them. Visible printing defects, manufacturing defects, incorrect products, incorrect quantities, shipping damage and other readily identifiable issues should be reported to Card2Tap within 7 calendar days after delivery or pickup. Please provide:
- your order number;
- a description of the issue;
- clear photographs or video, where appropriate;
- any other information reasonably requested for the investigation.
Returns for inspection. We may ask you to return the product so that our production or quality-control team can inspect it. Please do not mail products back before you receive our return instructions. If we confirm a defect attributable to Card2Tap, we cover the reasonable cost of the return and of shipping the replacement.
Reporting after 7 days may affect our ability to investigate the claim, but this reporting period does not eliminate rights that cannot legally be limited.
13 Product quality and limited remedy
Card2Tap stands behind the manufacturing and production quality of the products it supplies.
If you report a suspected manufacturing or production defect, Card2Tap may require the affected product to be returned for inspection by our production or quality-control team. If Card2Tap confirms that the product has a manufacturing or production defect attributable to Card2Tap, our normal remedy is to replace the affected product at no additional charge and ship the replacement to you without additional standard shipping charges. Where replacement is not reasonably possible, or where applicable law requires another remedy, Card2Tap may provide another appropriate remedy, including a refund. This also applies to a defective NFC chip or a QR code we printed incorrectly.
Card2Tap does not provide an additional commercial warranty for, and its quality policy does not cover, damage caused after delivery by bending, scratching, crushing, improper use or storage, misuse, intentional damage, loss, theft, unauthorized alterations or ordinary wear and tear, or damage caused by third parties.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or conditions that cannot legally be excluded, including any right to goods that match their description and are of acceptable quality.
14 Refunds, returns and final sale
Final sale and change of mind. Except where required by applicable law or expressly provided in these Terms, Card2Tap purchases are final once the applicable cancellation period has passed or production or service delivery has begun. Defective, incorrect or materially non-conforming products are handled under Reporting product issues and Product quality.
Personalized and custom products. Physical products that are personalized, printed, engraved, programmed, customized or otherwise made to your specifications are generally not eligible for return, exchange or refund because you change your mind, dislike the final appearance after approving the proof, ordered the wrong option or no longer need the product. This does not apply where the product is defective, does not materially conform to the approved order because of a Card2Tap error, or where applicable law provides another remedy.
Digital plans and subscription payments. Except where required by applicable law, payments for Card2Tap digital plans, subscription periods, upgrades and renewals are non-refundable once processed. If you believe Card2Tap made a billing error, or failed to provide the service you purchased because of an error directly attributable to Card2Tap, contact us promptly, preferably within 7 days after the transaction or after you discover the issue. We will review the claim; if it confirms a Card2Tap error, we may correct the charge, restore the service, issue a credit, or provide a full or partial refund, as appropriate.
How refunds are paid. When we agree to a refund, or the law requires one, we return it to the original payment method where feasible. We offer store credit instead only if you agree to it. When an order is refunded or cancelled, any plan that came with it is withdrawn, and cards linked to it may be switched off.
Fair claims. Card2Tap may reject or investigate refund, replacement or shipping-loss claims that show reasonable evidence of fraud, abuse, duplicate recovery, intentional damage or materially false information. We will not reject a claim only because you exercised lawful consumer or chargeback rights.
No double recovery. You are not entitled to recover twice for the same loss. If Card2Tap has already provided a replacement, refund or other complete remedy for an order, a later carrier reimbursement, chargeback or duplicate refund for the same loss may be adjusted or recovered to the extent legally permitted.
Nothing in these Terms limits statutory rights that cannot legally be waived, including any right to cancel or to a remedy for goods that are not as described.
15 Teams
Team plans. Team plans (Team Standard, Team Professional, Team Premium) give an organization seats, central billing, member profiles, shared branding, Team card management and the features of the plan. Prices and seat prices are shown on the Team plans page and at checkout.
Term and changes. A Team plan lasts 12 months from payment and does not renew automatically; renewing charges the full price shown at that time, and an early renewal starts when the current term ends. Upgrading to a higher Team plan and adding seats during the term are charged for the time left in the term. Moving to a lower plan or fewer seats takes effect at the next renewal; there are no refunds or credits for these changes. You must keep at least as many seats as members using them.
When a Team plan ends. Members keep their Team features for a grace period of 14 days. After that, Team features stop. Nothing is deleted, and the person who manages billing can still open the Team dashboard for a limited time to renew.
Roles. The Owner is the Team’s main administrator, with authority over billing and the Team plan. Admins manage members, branding, profiles, templates, Team cards and analytics, and billing only if the Owner allows it. Managers manage members in their own departments. Members manage their own permitted profile functions. Members agree that information the organization controls may be managed by its authorized Owner and Admins.
Seats and cards. A seat gives one member digital access. A seat is separate from a physical card: a member can have several cards without needing several seats.
Team card orders. Only Owners and Admins can order Team cards, choose quantities and members, and approve designs. Cards are either personalized per member (each with its own proof) or reassignable company cards (one company design). Each card’s design moves from Not started to Draft, Needs review and Approved; cards assigned to a member must be approved before they are added to an order, and unassigned cards can be designed after ordering where offered. Team card orders are checked out separately from other products.
Reassigning cards. A card can be pointed to a different member’s profile, but anything printed on it cannot change: reassigning a personalized card does not change the name or title printed on it.
Removing members. When a member is removed or deactivated, their Team access may end and their seat becomes available. The organization may keep the information it controls, and order and statistics history may remain.
16 Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, NFC and QR
Public profiles. You control what you publish. Anyone with your profile link, QR code, NFC product or Wallet pass can see your published profile. You are responsible for having the right to publish its logos, photos, text, contact details and links, and for keeping them accurate and lawful. We may remove links that are malicious or abusive. A profile opens only while it is published.
Apple Wallet and Google Wallet passes are included on every plan. Apple Wallet and Google Wallet are third-party services operated by their respective providers. Availability may depend on device compatibility, geographic availability, provider policies and continued third-party service. Card2Tap does not control Apple’s or Google’s platforms and cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability of their services.
NFC. NFC performance may depend on your compatible device, its settings and operating system, cases and accessories, network access and third-party technology. Card2Tap does not guarantee identical NFC behaviour across every device.
QR codes. QR-code scanning may depend on camera quality, lighting, print condition, internet connectivity and compatible scanning software.
These limits do not excuse a defective NFC chip or an incorrectly produced QR code: those are handled under Product quality.
17 Appointment requests
Appointment requests, available on Professional and Premium, let visitors request a preferred appointment time. A request is not a confirmed appointment until the profile owner accepts it. Profile owners can instead set a service to confirm bookings automatically; the booking page says which applies.
Profile owners are responsible for keeping their availability accurate, answering requests and honouring confirmed appointments. Card2Tap is a technology platform: we are not a party to the relationship between profile owners and their visitors or customers, and we are not responsible for the professional services provided, missed appointments, fees or disputes between them. Prices shown on services are information only; Card2Tap does not take payment for appointments.
18 Link Finder
Link Finder, available on Professional and Premium, helps you find and check public links such as your Google review page, map listing or social profiles, and suggests likely matches. It is an assistance tool: review and confirm each result before adding it. We cannot guarantee that third-party information is accurate, complete or available. Link Finder never asks for your social media passwords.
19 AI features
AI features — profile setup and writing suggestions, a visitor chat on your profile and marketing drafts — are available on Premium, and to Team Premium members according to their Team’s AI settings. They have fair-use limits.
Card2Tap AI features may generate incomplete, inaccurate or unsuitable suggestions. AI output is provided as an assistance tool and must be reviewed by you before publication or reliance. The visitor chat answers from the information you provide and never confirms bookings, prices or availability.
Card2Tap AI does not provide legal, medical, financial, tax or other regulated professional advice. Do not enter passwords, payment card details, API credentials or unnecessary sensitive personal information. AI providers and models may change, and we may change or discontinue AI features, taking into account the plans you have paid for and your rights under applicable law.
20 Acceptable use
You must not use Card2Tap to:
- break the law or help others do so;
- impersonate a person or organization, or mislead people about who you are;
- commit fraud, phishing or scams;
- send spam or contact people without the consent the law requires;
- distribute malware or harmful links;
- infringe intellectual property or privacy rights;
- harass, threaten or abuse anyone;
- try to access accounts, data or systems without permission, or bypass plan or feature limits;
- interfere with, overload or disrupt Card2Tap;
- copy or extract content or data by automated means in a way that harms Card2Tap or its users. Search engines and accessibility tools are welcome.
21 Intellectual property
Ours. Card2Tap’s name and logos, website design, software, designer templates and our own content belong to Card2Tap or its licensors, subject to third-party and open-source licences. These Terms do not give you any rights to them except to use Card2Tap as intended.
Yours. You keep ownership of the content you add — your profile, logos, photos and text. You give Card2Tap a limited licence to host, store, display, reproduce, process and transmit it only as needed to provide the service, including showing your published profile to the people you share it with.
Feedback. If you send us suggestions, we may use them to improve Card2Tap without obligation to you, to the extent the law allows. This does not give us any rights to your other intellectual property.
22 Third-party services and links
Card2Tap profiles may contain third-party links, such as Google, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn or your own website. Card2Tap does not control and is not responsible for the content, availability, security or practices of independent third-party websites and services; their own terms and privacy policies apply.
Parts of Card2Tap rely on other providers — for example Apple and Google for Wallet passes, our payment provider, shipping carriers, AI providers, hosting and email. Their availability can affect features that depend on them. The providers we use are listed in our Privacy Policy.
23 Service availability and changes
We work to keep Card2Tap available, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service: maintenance, updates, security fixes and events outside our control can cause interruptions.
We improve and change Card2Tap over time. We will not remove the essential features of a plan you have paid for during its term without a reasonable alternative or remedy, as required by law. Features labelled beta or preview may be less stable and may change.
24 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Card2Tap INC. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities, goodwill or data arising from use of the Card2Tap services, except where such exclusion is prohibited by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the total liability of Card2Tap INC. arising out of or relating to a particular paid product, service or subscription will not exceed the amount actually paid to Card2Tap for the product, service or subscription giving rise to the claim during the 12 months immediately before the event giving rise to liability. For a claim relating only to a particular physical product order, that limit is the amount paid for the affected order, where permitted by law.
These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability arising from fraud or wilful misconduct, or to other matters for which applicable law prohibits limitation. They do not limit your statutory rights for products or services that are defective or not as described where the law does not allow such limits.
25 Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Card2Tap INC., its directors, officers, employees and agents from third-party claims, liabilities, damages and reasonable costs arising from:
- content, logos, images, trademarks or other materials you provide to Card2Tap where you do not have the necessary rights or permissions;
- your unlawful, fraudulent or unauthorized use of Card2Tap;
- your material breach of these Terms; or
- your infringement of another person’s intellectual-property or other legal rights.
This indemnity does not require a consumer to indemnify Card2Tap for Card2Tap’s own negligence, breach of contract or unlawful conduct, or for matters for which liability cannot legally be transferred.
26 Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account, or unpublish a profile, for a legitimate reason — such as non-payment, a security risk, fraud, unlawful activity or a serious breach of these Terms. We will give reasonable notice where we can, unless the situation requires immediate action.
You may stop using Card2Tap at any time and ask us to close your account. When an account is closed, its profiles and content are deleted as described in our Privacy Policy; we keep records we must or may lawfully keep, such as orders, invoices and tax records. Closing an account does not by itself entitle you to a refund of a plan already paid for, except where the law requires it.
27 Governing law and courts
Governing law. These Terms and any dispute relating to Card2Tap are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except to the extent that mandatory laws of your jurisdiction apply and cannot lawfully be excluded.
Courts. Subject to any mandatory consumer rights or jurisdictional rules that apply, you and Card2Tap submit to the courts located in Ontario, Canada, for disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or Card2Tap services. Nothing in this section prevents a consumer from bringing a claim in another forum where applicable law gives the consumer a non-waivable right to do so.
If you have a concern, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. These Terms do not require arbitration and do not waive any right you have to take part in a class proceeding.
28 Changes, notices and general terms
Changes. We may update these Terms, for example when Card2Tap or the law changes. The date at the top shows the current version. For significant changes we will give reasonable notice by email, in your account or on the website where appropriate. Changes are not retroactive: orders and plans bought before a change are governed by the Terms that applied when you bought them, unless the law requires otherwise.
Electronic communications. You agree to receive the emails and notices needed to provide the service — about your account, orders, plans, security and service changes. Marketing messages are separate and are sent only with the consent the law requires, with a way to unsubscribe.
General. If a part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. If we do not enforce a provision immediately, we have not waived it. We may transfer these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of all or part of our business, subject to applicable law; you may not transfer your account or these Terms without our permission, except as Card2Tap’s Team and card features allow. These Terms, the policies they mention and the details of each order shown at checkout are the whole agreement between you and Card2Tap about their subject, without overriding what was shown to you at checkout.
