Apple Wallet passes don’t update themselves. A pass shows your details as they were when you added it. To refresh it, add the pass again: the new copy replaces the old one in your Wallet.
Refresh your pass
- Save your profile changes. Make sure your changes are saved in your dashboard.
- Open your dashboard on your iPhone. Use Safari and go to the Overview page or Share & QR.
- Select “Add to Apple Wallet” again. Your iPhone shows the pass with your new details.
- Add it. The new copy replaces the old one.
The back of the pass has the same reminder: “To refresh the details, add the pass again from the profile page.”
What always stays current
The QR code on the pass and the “Digital profile” link on the back open your live profile. Anyone who scans the code sees your current profile, even if the details printed on the pass are older.
- Visitors who saved your card from your public profile also keep the version they added. They see your latest details when they scan the QR code or open the link.
- If you change your profile web address, the QR code on older passes keeps working through the redirect for your last 3 former addresses while your profile is published. Adding the pass again gives you a code with the new address.
Using Android? Google Wallet passes update on their own. See Updating your Google Wallet pass.
